Antiaircraft Artillery NCO, SP Weapons (598) Enlisted Personnel

Commands crews operating self-propelled machine guns and automatic weapons employed in the protection of advanced combat elements against low-flying hostile aircraft.
Supervises technical employment of guns, designating field or direction of fire, type of target, and approximate location of firing position. Insures that all avenues of approach for enemy aircraft are covered. Supervises tactical and mechanical training of various gun crews.
