Petroleum Pumping Equipment Repairman (487) Enlisted Personnel
Makes major repairs on petroleum pumping equipment and pipelines.
Repairs leaks by tightening couplings and installing leak claps. Repairs break in pipe by installing new pipe and coupling. Repairs engines, pumps, and controllers by tearing down, cleaning, adjusting, and installing new or rebuilt parts and reassembling equipment.
Uses mechanic's hand tools, drift pins, gas indicator, and special nonsparking tools.
Must know first aid and be able to give artificial respiration.
