Operates a teletype, simplex, or other kind of telegraphic typewriter for transmission and reception of communications.
Keeps a log in which a record of all messages received and transmitted is maintained. Operates equipment using perforated tape for transmission and receiption.
Must be able to operate teletype equipment at a minimum speed of 20 words per minute. Must be familiar with Army codes, phonetic alphabet, Army wire and radio teletypewriter procedures, Army method of hand printing, and safeguarding cryptographic and transmission security.
