Aveland Odyssey 2024

Strictly GI have been invited along to this new and exclusive local event being organised by The Aveland History Group to honour and remember the members of USAAF 313th Troop Carrier Group which, 80 years before the event, departed from nearby RAF Folkingham transporting US paratroopers for their blighted drop over the skies of Holland during Operation "Market-Garden."

The organisers of the event are hoping to involve as many US living history groups as possible, and arrangements are being made for the families of 314th TCG veterans to be in attendance. Strictly GI is delighted to confirm its attendance at this historical and unique event.
